The Farmer's Wife is made up of Dan and Stacy, with shop cats Fred and Simon. The shop was started as an antiques store by Dan and his late partner Phil. They started adding flower arrangements to highlight their furniture and accessories and customers began asking if they'd sell those, too. The rest is history.

The Farmer's Wife has been in downtown Greensboro since 1996 and is located in a turn-of-the century grocery warehouse. Wagons used to roll through the shop to load deliveries and trains would stop on the tracks out back to bring in supplies.
